US Politics | ‘Rare Fabergé egg worth millions’ among treasures seized on Russian Oligarch’s luxury superyacht

A RARE Fabergé egg worth millions of pounds has been discovered on a Russian Oligarch's luxury superyacht which has been seized by US officials. Speaking at the Aspen security forum on Wednesday she said:  "Let's get to the juicy stuff: the yachts," "We've been finding some really interesting things … we recovered a Fabergé – or alleged Fabergé egg – on one of these 'yachts ' so it just gets more and more interesting." Ms Monaco did not specify which yacht \- but it is thought she was referring to the £300million Amadea. If the jewelled egg was deemed to be authentic it would make it one of the few remaining in the world. The price of some Fabergé eggs has been in excess of £18million. Faberge was founded by German jeweller, Gustav Faberge in St Petersburg in Russia in the 19th century. It comes as a superyacht owned by a Russian tycoon boasting an eye-watering £61million price tag is set to be auctioned off after being seized. The stunning 240ft vessel \- named The Axioma \- has a catalogue of bougie features including six decks, a pool with a swim-up bar and even a cinema. Owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky, the mighty yacht was seized back in March amid Western sanctions over Vladimir Putin...s bloody war in Ukraine.
