The city of Balch Springs said that 14 to 20 homes were damaged as the blaze was still spreading, Fox4 reported. The Balch Springs Fire Marshal Sean Davis said the fire was started by workers brush hogging. Residents were evacuated though no injuries have been reported. Firefighters with the Dallas Fire-Rescue were working with the Seagoville Fire Department to put out the blaze. According to NBC DFW, anyone on Bell Manor and close to Broadview Drive, alongside the field where the fire started, should evacuate. Meanwhile, Balch Springs Emergency Management is making arrangements with the American Red Cross to help families affected by the fire.
