Behind the Lens: John Bisset

John Bisset has been taking photos for the Timaru Herald for almost 40 years. His first published photo was a self-portrait of himself flying a hang-glider that appeared in the Herald in 1984. Bisset worked for his father, Ron who had the contract to supply the paper with news photos. In 1986, the Timaru Herald started its own photography department and Bisset was employed and worked beside the late Eileen Wockner developing and printing their own films.
