A CONSTRUCTION worker has died after being injured by machinery at Hinkley Point C nuclear power station. Police were scrambled to the site in Somerset at around 8.30am today after the horror unfolded.

Hinkley Point C was given the green light to be built by Theresa May in 2016 at an estimated cost of £18billion. Its construction was delayed by the Covid pandemic and it now start operating in 2027 \- costing an extra £3billion. EDF Energy says Hinkley Point will provide electricity for around 6 million homes once complete.
