US Politics | Russia school shooting: 17 dead as Columbine-inspired maniac opens fire with modified flare guns & ‘hate’ penned on ammo
AT LEAST 17 people have died including 11 children and about 24 have been injured after a man in a black t-shirt and balaclava opened fire on students at a school in Russia. The gunman was armed with two flare guns which had been converted to fire live ammunition, according to Russian media.

Investigations are continuing into whether he subscribed to neo-Nazi ideology. Two pictures have been shared of Kazantsev, one was reportedly taken when he was at school, and the second in 2008 when he was around 20 years old. They don't tell us anything. Kazantsev was formerly a student at the school A picture has since been shared of the shooter wearing a ...black t-shirt with Nazi symbols... and black balaclava lying dead in a classroom. Russian media has shared images of the suspected gunman wearing a t-shirt celebrating a Russian neo-Nazi activist, while swastika tattoos are visible on his arms. Pictures have been circulated of one of the converted pistols used by the killer, as well as more than a dozen cartridges of bullets. Each cartridge had the word ...hatred... written on it in Russian. The gunman reportedly locked himself in an office on the fourth floor before shooting himself. A criminal investigation has been launched into the shooting. The school is near the centre of Izhevsk, around 600 miles east of Moscow. Read More on The Sun
