Pizarro was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and face. He was pronounced dead upon arrival. Pizarro Snr. shared with The US Sun a photo he took of Pizarro Jr. during a visit to Puerto Rico last year. The motive behind Tuesday morning's shooting in the quiet Brooklyn neighborhood of Greenpoint remains under investigation, but officials have suggested the shooting could've been targeted. Pizarro Snr. said he wasn't familiar with the ins and outs of his son's life in New York or anything about his past legal troubles. ...It could've been a targeted attack, yes, although I don't know what he was involved in because I don't live in New York,... he said. ...I don't know much about his life over there but it's worrying. ...I'm just in shock.... MOTIVE UNKNOWN Pizarro's death was earlier confirmed in a statement released by NBC and Universal Television, who said they are cooperating with the NYPD in their investigation. "We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result," said the network. The culprit behind the shooting has not yet been identified. Believed to be a male, the suspect was described as having a medium complexion and was reportedly wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The gunman was last seen fleeing the scene on foot.

Police said they are looking into all possible motives, including whether a parking dispute may have spurred the fatal shooting. Pizarro did have a criminal record but has reportedly remained out of trouble since 2015. ...A GREAT GUY' A colleague of Pizarro's told The Post how he heard a ...pop... and a person running away during the unprovoked attack. "I don't even know who would do this or why. I didn't hear an argument or nothing. It was quiet,... the worker said. ...Early morning. It was just a pop, and the dude ran up towards Nassau 'Avenue '. I only heard one bang, but I don't know how many shots." The co-worker said he knew the victim for seven years and described him as "like a brother to me." "He was a great guy.
