US Politics | Chicago church ‘shooting leaves at least three injured’ in bloody weekend of violence

A SHOOTING erupted at a church in Chicago on Saturday and left three people injured, police said. Cops rushed to Universal Community Missionary on South State Street in Chicago after the shocking attack. A shooting reportedly erupted at a church on Saturday "We do have police responding to a shooting incident in the 10800 block of South State but they are currently investigating," Police Officer Michelle Tannehill told The Sun. ...The victims were attending a funeral when a gray colored sedan drove by and an occupant from the vehicle fired shots striking the victims, who were standing outside,... Tannehill said. Police told The Sun, that a man, 25, was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the upper right side of the back. Another man, 20, was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, shoulder, and leg. A 37-year-old man was also taken to Roseland with a wound to the upper right thigh. All are in good condition, according to the Police. No suspects are in custody. Two detectives are on the scene. Detectives are still investigating the motive and no weapons have been recovered.  The calls came in around 3.30pm.  Additional officers were headed to the scene around 4pm. There is no longer an active threat, the dispatch calls said.
