The narco queen pleaded guilty to knowingly and willfully conspiring to distribute heroin, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine for a period of at least six years. She also pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering and one count of engaging in transactions with a foreign narcotics trafficker. As part of her plea agreement, she additionally admitted to conspiring to help her husband escape from a Mexican prison in 2015. Before entering her plea, prosecutor Anthony Nardozzi told Judge Contreras that if the case went to trial, ...the government would prove each of the three counts in the information by a variety of means. ...Those would include witness testimony, evidence generated by law enforcement investigation, and other means,... he said. With her face covered by a white facemask, the former beauty queen didn't reportedly show any obvious emotions throughout the hearing. "Everything is clear," she told the judge in Spanish before her interpreter relayed the message in English. She allegedly continued to deliver messages while visiting El Chapo in a Mexican prison after his arrest in February 2014.
