A 41-gun salute has been held at Parliament Home in Canberra to mark Prince Philip's demise.

Every spherical fired at 10-second intervals till all rounds are full.

Members of the general public have been capable of watch the salute from an exclusion zone.

The rationale for 41 rounds is a British custom.

Prince Philip is taken into account the UK Head of State and underneath UK protocol a 21 gun salute is required when he dies.

The photographs are to be fired from a royal location which warrants one other 20 rounds.
