SEPTEMBER shoppers wander along world-famous retail hotspot Oxford Street — under its Christmas lights. Twinkling stars have appeared above the London landmark as the nation readies for rocketing energy bills. Christmas lights have been turned on above Oxford Street...in SEPTEMBER The famous destination's Christmas lights have been turned on almost three months before December 25. The decorations use 300,000 LED bulbs which are more efficient than traditional bulbs. Lights display boss Hadas Kulcsar said: "We're delighted to be bringing Christmas lights back." Oxford Street will officially switch on the Christmas lights in November.
