AT LEAST 20 people have been killed in a single day by an apocalyptic lightning storm. India is facing horrific storms brought on by monsoon season \- and authorities have urged people to stay inside until the weather clears.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar urged people to follow advice by the state's disaster management team, reports Times of India. And just last year, one day in July saw 38 people killed in 24 hours across two Indian states. This included 11 deaths in just one strike at the country's historic Amber Fort.
