KATE Middleton was all smiles as a royal fan broke an unwritten rule and excitedly threw his arm around her during a visit to Scarborough this afternoon. The Princess of Wales, 40, who put on a stylish display in a camel co-ord, looked in high spirits as she greeted locals alongside her husband and heir to the throne, Prince William.

During the visit, the Princess of Wales was also happy to pose for photos with other royal fans who lined the streets \- including an adorable toddler who was seen wearing a pink Minnie Mouse coat. Just like his wife, Prince William was also captured interacting with the public and was spotted placing a gentle hand on a young girl's shoulder as he smiled for a selfie on her camera phone.
