KATE Middleton was all smiles as a royal fan broke an unwritten rule and excitedly threw his arm around her during a visit to Scarborough this afternoon. The Princess of Wales, 40, who put on a stylish display in a camel co-ord, looked in high spirits as she greeted locals alongside her husband and heir to the throne, Prince William. Happy to oblige, a laughing Kate leaned over the safety barrier and put her arm around the man, who was dressed in a black zip-up fleece, before smiling for the camera. During the visit, the Princess of Wales was also happy to pose for photos with other royal fans who lined the streets \- including an adorable toddler who was seen wearing a pink Minnie Mouse coat.  Just like his wife, Prince William was also captured interacting with the public and was spotted placing a gentle hand on a young girl's shoulder as he smiled for a selfie on her camera phone. However, over the last few years, the younger generation of royals have proven their friendly rapport with the public and have been more than happy to return a hug and share selfies with fans. Alongside her, Prince William, 40, was seen wearing a navy blue suit, burgundy jumper and of course, a poppy to mark the upcoming Remembrance Day.  The pair looked happy to be meeting some of the organisations due to benefit from a funding campaign launched by the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales and Two Ridings Community Foundation.  This is to tackle issues such as rural suicide, poverty and children's well-being.  First, Kate and William headed to The Street, a community hub hosting local organisations to allow them to grow and develop their services.
