US Politics | I was left with second-degree burns on Ryanair flight after cabin crew dropped hot pasta on my leg, passenger says
A RYANAIR passenger claims she was left with second-degree burns after an attendant spilled hot pasta on her midair. Brie Ortiz, from Suffolk, says she was left with blisters across her thigh following the alleged incident on board a flight from France to London.

DeadlineThe 37-year-old says she was left with second-degree burns on her leg '/ ' Retired US Air Force pilot Brie, 37, claims she was sitting in her seat on the plane when a crew member dropped pasta over her while passing it across from the trolley. The hot grub landed on Brie's upper leg and she says she asked for medical assistance \- a request she claims was ignored as the crew carried on serving food to other passengers. Another passenger ended up stepping in to help Brie who was left in tears while walking through the airport without her trousers on due to the pain of the material rubbing against her burn. Brie, who is originally from the US, said: ...It was so hot that I have a large second-degree burn in my leg. "I had to receive medical care for it at a nearby hospital. "After I was burned the flight attendants simply did not act with any empathy or concern. ...A customer in the seat next to me actually stepped in and helped me when they did not. I told the flight attendants several times that I was badly burned and needed something for it. "Unfortunately it felt as if they were more concerned with finishing up meal service and then selling duty free to bother with me. I was in so much pain at the time.... She added: ...I'm unsure why they did not immediately go into their first aid kit. "It would have helped me so much. They really seemed to show a lack of empathy and care for me or my safety. They didn't offer me assistance off the plane or to the airport. "I was in so much pain I could barely walk.... Pictures show Brie's thigh covered in blisters.
