THE mummified remains of a missing woman have been found at a storage unit months after her death. Britta Ann Lashley, 36, disappeared more than a year ago after her worried mom said she had not heard from her daughter for months.

Autauga County Sheriff's OfficeStorage unit owner James Michael Barrett has now been charged with abuse of a corpse '/ ' On July 12 her decomposed remains were found in a unit in Prattville, Alabama. Police have now identified the owner of that space as 52-year-old James Michael Barrett, 52. He has since been charged with abuse of a corpse, along with Edward Norman, 60. Lashley was last seen on February 21 last year. She was reported missing by her mom Tammy Lashley on June 15 of this year.
