Giant swarm of jellyfish invades Italian port

An enormous swarm of jellyfish invading an Italian port has been captured on digital camera by amused locals.

Photographs and video of a smack of tons of of the pink jellyfish on the floor of the water at a port in Trieste, Italy, have been uploaded to social media.

Lorenzo Zuffi posted a photograph of the phenomenon to Fb, saying the large group of jellyfish approaching the port made him really feel like a rockstar surrounded by a moshpit of followers.

Italian media says the jellyfish are rhizostoma pulmo, that are interested in the floor by hotter water and plankton.
