Soldier dies after 'heat exhaustion'
The Defence Division has confirmed that an Australian soldier died whereas on service within the Northern Territory.
The male soldier died on Thursday after he collapsed from warmth exhaustion throughout a army train.
A Defence Department spokesman advised 9.com.au the was handled by members of his unit and an ambulance was referred to as.
"On the time of the incident, troopers from his platoon administered first assist, and instantly referred to as an ambulance.
"Paramedics responded and have been on the scene treating the member inside 15 minutes.
"We prolong our honest condolences to the household and associates, and are offering ongoing welfare help at this troublesome time."
Defence Division officers are investigating the fatality and the reason for the demise is but to be established by the coroner.
The spokesman stated out of respect for the soldier's household, officers won't can be releasing any additional private or service details about him.
